You are most likely familiar with ultrasound technology. An ultrasound scan uses sound waves to record a picture of parts of the human body. A hand held probe is moved across the skin surface and the images are displayed on the screen and stored on a computer. Ultrasound is a safe procedure and does not involve ionising radiation. It is often the first line of investigation for abdominal, gynaecological and musculoskeletal symptoms.
Regents Specialist Clinics partners with various Mobile Ultrasound Scan providers, such that there is constant access to ultrasound scan services in our clinic, for various parts of the body. Abdominal, renal tract, musculoskeletal, pelvic and scrotal ultrasound scans, including Doppler studies are regularly performed on both private and NHS patients at our premises. Pregnancy scans are also done. If you are arrange private ultrasound scan for pregnancy, it is important that we do not have specialists in Regents Clinic who provide private pregnancy related care. You are however welcome to arrange your scan within our premises.
Other Diagnostic Procedures – Specialists do often request simple tests, involving blood samples, urine tests, urine flow test, Urodynamics. Our facilities are not suitable for all test. We are however constantly assessing our facilities what diagnostic procedures that might help in the appropriate care of patients clients.
